This incredibly elegant wedding at one of our favorite venues, The Kendall Point, definitely warmed our hears in more ways than one. Not only was this Snap Chic Photography's second wedding back after the Covid-19 event ban, but Kyndal and John's tearjerking love story had the whole team fighting to make sure everything was absolutely perfect! I could not even begin to put their story into words, so thankfully our amazing bride took the time to share it with us all herself...
"John and I have been together for almost 6 years. We met in 4th grade when I moved to the small town of Goliad and started dating during our junior year of high school. We loved working out, playing tennis, being in the marching band, and having long Dairy Queen dates. During our senior year, soon after homecoming, I received the devastating news that I had acute myeloid leukemia. Both of our worlds came crashing down, but our faith remained and is what got us through. I was living in Houston at Texas Children’s Hospital for almost six months, and John drove about three hours every weekend to come be with me. He sat with me in my hospital room, made me laugh, cut my food for me, and never failed to bring me a Bucees snack. We enjoyed the occasional Olive Garden date in my hospital room and hanging out with our family, the nurses, and the other patients on the oncology floor. After taking this journey together, I knew John would be the one I spent the rest of my life with. Actually, I knew well before, but this confirmed the thought. During my treatment, we were grateful to attend our prom and graduate high school together. After high school, we both attended UTSA; I arrived about a year after him once my immune system was back to normal. John asked me to marry him in Napa Valley, California soon after he graduated. John is now working as a project manager for a construction company, and I’m attending nursing school at UT Health San Antonio hoping to become a pediatric oncology nurse. We’ve been on a journey together that has taught us to appreciate every moment, spend lots of time with our loved ones, and focus on what’s important. We are so grateful to get to spend the rest of our lives with each other and look forward to what comes next. " - Kyndal
