A Perfect Pink Wedding at Chandelier Of Gruene | Snap Chic Photography | Texas Weddings

We had the honor of photographing Liliana & Kyle's wedding at The Chandelier of Gruene, and it is just too sweet not to share, and the lovely bride Liliana was so sweet to tell us all about her special day first hand!

Q: How did you meet? Tell us about the proposal!

We actually went to high school together, but didn’t really keep in touch much after. Fast forward to may 2017..Kyle messaged me on Facebook and asked me out on a date..& the rest is history! :)

The proposal:

We went to dinner downtown at the tower of the America. After dinner we went outside on the observation deck to take a view of the city & Kyle got down on one knee and proposed! It was so perfect and just the 2 of us and a couple strangers around haha. But we immediately called our parents to tell them the big news & had some celebratory drinks 🍸

Q: Do you have any wedding planning or marriage advice that you'd like to share with other couples planning their day?

Don’t stress too much! (I know, easier said than done) Truly all that will matter that day is getting married to your best friend and soul mate! You won’t even sweat the small details you were so worried about! But, I definitely recommend a day of coordinator...they will have it all under control and you will be able to fully enjoy every moment with your guests.

Q: Let's talk fashion. How did you both choose your wedding day look?

Oh gosh, I pretty much knew what style of dress I wanted. For Kyle’s suit..I just had to show him pictures of my inspo and he was all game! It all came together perfect! Kyle and his groomsmen in navy suits with pink ties, and my girls in dusty rose bridesmaid dresses.

Q: What were the florals like in your wedding? Did you use flowers in any of your design elements like the centerpieces or ceremony backdrop? Did they play an important part in the overall style of your wedding?

YES! Florals were a huge part of my wedding and decor. I wanted them to make a huge statement, and they sure did! Everyone was wowed by all the florals and our hanging floral above our center table was incredible! Shout out to our amazing florist- Angie from Evember Floral!

Q: Tell us about your wedding! What was the inspiration behind your day? Did you have a specific theme, style or color palette? Did you incorporate any cultural or religious traditions in any part of your day?

For our color palette I went with shades of pink such as, blush, dusty rose and rose gold!

I come from a traditional Catholic Hispanic family. So incorporating Catholic rituals into our ceremony was a must! Our ceremony was so special because it was bilingual! We incorporated the lasso, arras and unity candle.

At our reception we also incorporated traditions such as, vivora de la mar (a Mexican dance tradition) and dollar dance. Our guest had a great time and danced the night away!

Q: What was the most anticipated or special moment of your wedding day?

For me, just having my closest friends and family there for us on such a special and meaningful day meant the world. Despite all the craziness in the world right now, it meant everything that they still made it out for us.

Q: How did you decorate your space for the ceremony and the reception? Was any part of the decor DIY?

I love flowers so all the pink flowers everywhere were a must! Also our floral centerpieces were to die for! Really made a huge statement.

I unfortunately am not very crafty so I did not have any diy decorations :)

Q: What were some of your favorite parts of your wedding?

Definitely loved having mariachis at the beginning of our dinner. I feel like they just really turn up the energy and set the tone for the evening. Also just loved incorporating all of my family traditions throughout the evening! Oh, and our sparkler send off..loved having everyone out there to end our night!

Q: Is there anything you would have done differently?

Nope! I had an amazing vendor team and they truly were on top of everything! So thankful for them. Our wedding was perfect ❤️
