That Time We Taught A Wedding Photography Workshop... | Park 31 | The Camera Exchange

Updated: Oct 15, 2019

YOU GUYS...My creative heart is so full of happiness from this weekend! We taught the most amazing half-day wedding photography workshop to 13 other San Antonio area wedding photographers, at one of our all time favorite wedding venues, Park 31. And let me just say, It was incredible!

The back story: A few months ago, my dear friend Lucy with The Camera Exchange, Inc. came to me a and said "Hey, I have this great idea for a wedding workshop, would you like to instruct it?" Without skipping a beat I said "Heck to the yes, I'm all in!"

So we planned and planned, and this Sunday with the help of some incredible vendor friends it all came together for the most elegant styled shoot and wedding photography workshop combo. It was truly an honor to introduce so many awesome photographers to the wonderfully creative and slightly chaotic world of wedding photography.

I had about an hour and a half of time to shoot alone with the models and vendors before the other photographers arrived for the class, and I'm beyond excited to share a few of my favorites!

Our team was F A N T A S T I C! The first to arrive at Park 31 was Stephanie Eiland with Pineapple House Beauty, to complete this incredible vintage hair and makeup. Inspired by the custom made wedding gowns from A Cherie Couture, and classic look of our model Elyse, she went with a perfect 1920's feel to showcase to our 2020's brides!

The lovely Ashley Pugh with A Cherie Couture really does inspire us all! Can you believe she creates these masterpiece wedding dresses from a sketch, and even hand beads them down to every last detail!

Needless to say, our model Elyse Briggs was a drop dead gorgeous bride that could rock all angles for the styled shoot and afternoon workshop for The Camera Exchange! Paired with these two STUNNING bridal bouquets by Mary Jo with HEB Blooms, it was very hard to take a bad photo.

Second to arrive was our lovely friend Sandra Gonzalez with Rustic Romance Rentals bringing in some of the most delicately hand picked pieces we've ever seen. She and her husband styled both the head table, and lounge, with such expert eyes... I was in love!

Our host Lucy also jumped in for a few photos! SO FUN!
