Whimsical Elopement While Socially Distancing| Hill Country Texas Wedding | Snap Chic Photography

Covid-19 has almost completely crippled the wedding world, but what about the couples that are just READY?! Jennifer and Robert had an intimate gathering planned since day one, and were determined to be wed. They lowered their guest count, said some prayers, and thankfully with the help of Lauren with Snap Chic Planning, their elopement went off without a hitch!

Talking with Jennifer, the lovely bride, she shared "The biggest thing for Robert and I was that as we approached the date, the anxiety and the stress of not knowing if the next declaration was going to be the last declaration for us. Every stressful moment I think brought us that much closer. We looked at it as a team and kept each other positive. I told myself, he wanted this wedding and by God he’s gonna get it somehow. And EVERY SINGLE time a declaration came through somehow we squeaked by. Either the plans fit the declaration already, or between Lauren‘s quick thinking and with the venue, Camp Lucy, bending over backwards to come up with a solution, we made it work. The best example being that when they closed down the restaurants, the venue approached us with options including setting up a table and catering out on the lawn. When the first one came through and narrowed down how many people we could have I was so thankful that we had already planned on having an elopement. I’ve always believed that when you’re on the wrong path you hit nothing but stumbling blocks and full stops. When you’re on the right path there’s always a way forward. That’s what this felt like, every time we felt a door closed in our faces there was a window opened. I remember sitting there on the day of, after having such a great day with my family, and being told by the venue that at midnight our fairytale was turning back into a pumpkin because they were getting shut down by the county. We were the last event. I had my Cinderella moment, but for real and I got the guy without having to wait a moment longer.

It was definitely bittersweet knowing how many girls had their dreams dashed and but we still got ours.

I think the intimacy and how small the ceremony was, was just so meaningful for me because family is just so important. I had moments, hugs, conversations, and time with every single person and that meant a lot to me. "

Jennifer went on to tell me how personally her bridal gown shop, Mayfair Bridal, took their charge as her dressmakers, and how much it meant to her!

Overall I think all of us vendors felt deeply blessed to be able to come together for this spectacular couple in such a strange time, and see their beautiful dreams come to life!
